The Americas Society/Council of the Americas organized the 27th Brazilian Study Group at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, in collaboration with Columbia University and under coordination from its senior director of corporate relations, Nancy Anderson. São Paulo City Secretary for International Relations, Alfredo Cotait Neto, delivered a presentation to the brazilianist attendance on business opportunities provided by the city.
He then took questions from representatives of companies such as FedEx and Hewlett Packard, among others. The audience’s interest ranged from small and medium enterprises to details on São Paulo City’s Nova Luz Project. Also present was the Minister for Tourism, Marta Suplicy, who spoke on her plan of action at the recently taken office. Reciprocal interest in strengthening economic bonds was obvious all through the meeting. Florida is São Paulo’s largest single regional trade partner overseas.
